Where Romance Meets the Dark Side of Storytelling

Sparks, Snarks, & Plot Twists.

KC Rice is a Kentucky-born author who writes stories filled with romance, suspense, mystery, and unforgettable twists. From political thrillers and paranormal romance to romantic comedy, cartel romance, and dark romance, her work crosses genre lines while embracing the darker corners of storytelling.

A wife, mother, and Nana, KC has carried a vivid imagination with her for as long as she can remember. In 2015, she began turning the characters and stories in her mind into fiction, inviting readers into worlds shaped by danger, passion, humor, and intrigue.

KC is the author of the Tattered Series, which has earned numerous five-star reviews. Her recent projects include the political thriller romance Sleeping with the Enemy and Retribution, a dark suspense romance involving a drug cartel, kidnapping, and revenge. Retribution is her most unflinching work yet.

For KC, writing is about giving readers a place to escape: “If I can help just one person escape the humdrum of life through my stories, even if for a short time—well, I guess I’ve been successful.”
